At that moment, you are no longer the brain’s chemicals gone awry, but a detached observer. That awareness, also known asmindfulness, is a critical asset. Essentially, the model states that our productivity is directly correlated to the amount of stress in our lives. Too little stress has us, or our Goldilocks PFC, feeling lethargic, with often hazy or cloudy minds, as though we are groping around in a fog.

It’s often the type of meditation taught to newcomers, since it also fulfills the purpose or reason why most people are looking to start meditating. Meditation is a practice that has been around for thousands of years but learning how to meditate has become much more common today. It originated as a religious and spiritual practice, but today, it is practiced by millions of people without any religious or spiritual undertones. Do you think you don’t have time to meditate? You can’t always control the timing of when things come- so stay calm, relaxed, and remember that the Universe has your back! In time, what you desire will come through fruition.
